Along the line, 4 scientists, who were alleged to be illuminati were branded by the church with the symbol of the cross – to purge their sins.
According to the myth, they were disposed secretly on the roads, serving as a warning to other scientists.

However this story came up, I called it a ‘myth’ as it’s not been proven historically, and the church have always denied the occurrence of such act.
According to the church, it is true that during those days and century, the church, especially the catholic church persecuted scientists and were famously brutal when sentencing those convicted of heresy. But the “La Purga”, the church insists did not happen
But one happened in the 1600, a famous one at that time – Giordano Bruno. A Dominican Priest burned to the stake by the Roman Catholic Church.
We known that during this time, the church believed that the earth is the centre of the universe, until scientists proves in opposite that it’s the sun that’s at the centre of the universe. Giordano Bruno, a priest but also a scientist, believed that the Universe was infinite, and filled with countless other worlds (each world having its own soul and populated by other beings).
Many claimed that Bruno was executed for these ideas, which were antagonising to the church’s beliefs. But however, it was cleared that what the church deemed heretical was his advocacy of a magical and animistic religion, his denial of the divinity of Jesus, and his view that Jesus got what he deserved when he was crucified!

“Mythically” he was brutally killed because he was an antagonistic scientist. Which you rejected, with a likely reason, that he was actually killed because questioned the divinity of Jesus, and all. What’s the difference?
But then, I thought they called Mr Bruno a “Priest”? Or is it just a title?
I mean, a priest questioning the divinity of as Jesus and all.
Or maybe it’s a title or Priest relating to another field and area of life.
